System Requirements

  • Modern 64-bit CPU (x86-64 or Apple Silicon ARM64)
  • 4 GB RAM recommended (2 GB minimum — AI tutor features need 4 GB)
  • 500 MB free disk space for the app; additional space for curriculum content
  • Windows 10 / 11, macOS 12+, or a current Linux distro
  • Internet only needed to browse the marketplace — all teaching features are fully offline

Installation Instructions

Windows

  1. Download the .exe installer above.
  2. Double-click the downloaded file.
  3. If Windows shows a SmartScreen warning, click More info → Run anyway. (SoVere is not yet in Microsoft's signature database — this is normal for new software.)
  4. Follow the installer prompts and click Install.
  5. Launch SoVere from the Start Menu or Desktop shortcut.

macOS

  1. Download the .dmg file above.
  2. Double-click to open it, then drag SoVere into your Applications folder.
  3. The first time you open SoVere, right-click the app and choose Open to bypass Gatekeeper. You only need to do this once.
  4. SoVere will appear in Launchpad and your Applications folder for future launches.

Linux — .deb (Ubuntu / Debian)

  1. Download the .deb package above.
  2. Double-click the file in your file manager to open it in your system's software installer, or install from a terminal:
sudo dpkg -i SoVere_1.0.0_amd64.deb

SoVere will appear in your application launcher after install.

Linux — AppImage (Any Distro)

  1. Download the .AppImage file above.
  2. Make it executable and run it:
chmod +x SoVere_1.0.0_amd64.AppImage
./SoVere_1.0.0_amd64.AppImage

No install required — the AppImage runs as-is on any modern 64-bit Linux system.

For Students

Works in the Browser Too.

SoVere includes a built-in browser client for student devices — tablets, Chromebooks, or any device with a web browser. No app download needed on the student's device.

The parent installs SoVere on one computer. Students on the same home network open a browser and go to the address the parent provides. That's it.

Works over Wi-Fi on your home network. No internet connection required.

How It Works

1 Parent installs SoVere on the main household computer and launches it.
2 Parent finds their computer's local IP address and shares it with the student (e.g., 192.168.1.10).
3 Student opens any web browser and navigates to https://<ip>:8443/student.
4 Student selects their name, and their assigned lessons appear immediately.
5 Progress is saved automatically back to the parent's computer.
